Etre doux / Being meek

Pour ceux qui me connaissent version "vie quotidienne", je suis plutôt souriante et généreuse mais le terme de "douce" ne me viendrait jamais à l'esprit pour me décrire! Et surement pas au vôtre non plus...

For those who know me in the "everyday life", I'm rather smiling and generous but the word "meek" would never come to my mind to describe myself! And surely not to yours either...

It's for me quite difficult to be "meek", in a physical way. It seems it's not one of my attribute. So, when I read texts telling that meekness is not only about the tone of the voice or a soothing gesture, it reassures me. I wanted to share this talk because it helps me when I doubt I can better some of my behaviours or when I suffer. I hope you will find too some solace.

A sunny Sunday with the feet in the snow

As you have perhaps read in my last post, we had a stroll in the woods this Sunday 28th of December. But in the morning, we went to Church. It was the last time we went in the morning because in 2015, we will have our meetings in the afternoon, and the Usingen ward with which we share the chapel, will take our schedule.
We had the great pleasure  to gaze at the Temple, snow at its base and sun in the sky. A wonderful sight to start a day!

Depuis le balcon, au réveil...
From the balcony, when we woke up...

La crèche est enneigée!
The Nativity is snowed!

The wind made the snow on the top of the trees fly.

If in Oberursel, there's one thing to do on Sunday with the whole family, it's a stroll in the woods! And the woods are all around the city! See for yourself.

There are small huts in the woods... kids had fun to make them!

Mi-octobre:

Une autre cabane... / Another hut...

One of the water retention basins of the city.

Well, I really don't know if it's a art work or some very strange plumbing in the middle of the woods...

Prêt pour un peu de sport?
Ready for some sport?

We will have so many other opportunities to wander in all the corners of the woods of Oberursel, as well as the ones in the mountain up the road. And then, show the children the wonders of the nature.
