Début mai, j'avais proposé le défi de servir bénévolement dans une association, un club (etc). Bref, de donner un peu de son temps pour les autres, durant le mois de mai.
At the beginning of May, I have proposed to serve as volunteer for an association, a club (etc). Well, to give a bit of our time for our neighbors, during May.
Comme d'habitude, j'ai moi-aussi réalisé ce défi.
J'ai participé au comité d'organisation d'une activité musicale pour ma paroisse. Nous étions cinq personnes dans le groupe et nous espérions que la soirée de Samedi dernier se passerait dans la bonne humeur, la belle musique et les discours inspirants. Et ce fut le cas.
As usual, I have done the challenge too.
I participated at the organisation comittee for a musical activity in my ward. We were five people in this group and we hoped that last Saturday's evening would g smoothly, in a good spirit, beautiful music and inspiring talks. And it was.
Pendant que les autres faisaient du "monitoring" auprès des participants au spectacle, je me suis affairée en cuisine et dans la salle où nous allions ensuite manger un en-cas. Il fut bien difficile de résister aux fraises, aux crêpes, aux tranches de salami ou encore aux petites pizzas... mais j'ai tenu bon. Enfin, presque. J'ai tout de même grignoter cinq ou six fraises... mais chut!
While the others were "monitoring" the participants of the show, I was busy in the kitchen and in the dinner room. It was rather difficult to resist the strawberries, the crepes, the salami or even the mini-pizzas... but I stayed strong! Well, almost. I have eaten five or six strawberries... but Hush!

The topic of the evening was "Unser Herz in Liebe zuwenden" = "Change your heart toward love"
Il y a eu de nombreux moments émouvants ou très beaux musicalement. Je crois que mon préféré fut le duo mandoline et guitare présenté par deux membres de la paroisse. Ce n'est pas un duo qu'on entend très souvent, ce qui est bien dommage!
There were many moving moments or lovely musical pieces. I think my favorite was the duo mandolin and guitar played by two members of my ward. It's not a duo we hear everyday, and that's a pity!
